Profile

I HAVE BEEN IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY FOR 20 YEARS NOW, I HAVE GAINED A REPUTATION FOR QUALITY OF DESIGN, AN EYE FOR DETAIL AND FRIENDLY PROFESSIONALISM.

PERFECTION IS ALWAYS MY GOAL WHETHER IT BE WORKING ON A COMMISSION OR MAKING SURE AN ORDER FROM ONE OF THE STOCK DESIGNERS FITS PERFECTLY.

I FIRST STUDY IN NORTHAMPTON, LEARNING THE SKILLS OF FLAT PATTERN CUTTING AND MANUFACTURE TECHNIQUES.

WITH THIS GREAT FOUNDATION I EXPANDED MY DESIGN CAPABILITIES,  ALL THE WHILE KEEPING MY TECHNICAL SKIILS UP TO DATE.I AM ALWAYS RESEARCHING NEW COUTURE TECHNIQUES THAT I CAN USE. YOU NEVER STOP LEARNING IN A JOB YOU LOVE.

AFTER 4 YEARS OF STUDY IN NORTHAMPTON I WAS OFFERED ONE OF 12 PLACES AT THE ROYAL COLLAGE OF ART IN KESSINGTON, LONDON. SPECIALISING IN WOMENSWEAR. WHILE STUDYING I DID DESIGN WORK FOR A NUMBER OF DESIGN HOUSES, LABELS, INCLUDING KARL LAGERFELD, NICOL FARHI AND HIGH STREET NAMES LIKE MARK & SPENCERS.

WHEN I GRADUATED IN 1996 I WAS OFFERED A JOB AS DESIGN ASSISTANT TO GIANNI VERSACE IN MILAN. THIS WAS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ME BUT I SOON TIRED OF DRAWING ALL DAY. I MISSED THE FEEL OF FABRIC AND THE DRAFTING OF A PATTERN AND TRANSFERING IT INTO A 3D GARMENT.

WHEN I MY CONTRACT WAS UP, I RETURNED TO THE UK AND STARTED A FASHION LABEL, PRODUCING HIGH END OCCASSIONWEAR FOR ASCOTT, HENLEY OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS.

I STARTED TO GET APROACHED DIRECTLY BY CLIENTS IN LONDON AND SOON FOUND MYSELF DOING PRIVATE COMMISSIONS.

WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN IN 1999 I NEEDED TO STAY MORE LOCAL AND WANTED TO FIND A MARKET FOR THE KIND OF WORK I COULD CREATE. IT SEEMED A NATURAL PROGRESSION TO START WORKING ON WEDDING GOWNS. FIRST I WORKED FROM A STUDIO AND I WORKED THE HOURS AROUND LOOKING AFTER MY DAUGHTER.

IN 2011 SHE WAS OLD ENOUGH, I STARTED THINKING WHAT I WANTED TO DO NEXT. I NEEDED A MORE SOCIAL BUSINESS SO I OPENED MY SHOP IN OUNDLE WHERE I HAVE BEEN EXTREAMLY HAPPY WORKING WITH BRIDES MAKING SURE THEIR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN SECOND TO NONE.

I HAVE NOW BEEN THERE FOR 6 YEARS AND HAVE SEEN MANY CHANGES IN THE INDUSTY. I HOPE TO BE THERE FOR MANY MORE BRIDES.
